The Babylon School of Dance located in Chalfont, PA. for over 35 years is one of the most respected dance schools in the area. The philosophy of director Joann Cistone is providing quality dance education to her students and exposing them to the joy of movement and self-expression.
At Babylon, building character and confidence by showing support and acceptance to all of their students while teaching the art of dance is their recipe for success. The staff at Babylon continuously educate themselves by taking classes and seminars in New York and Philadelphia, and with master classes provided at the studio. The school’s dance company, Momentum, performs throughout the year in the local area and provides community outreach performances. The Company dancers travel to New York each year with the opportunity to take dance classes taught by Broadway performers and other respected New York teachers and enjoy the opportunity of attending Broadway shows. Momentum has performed twice in the Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival.
The Babylon School of Dance was founded for all the children who dream of dancing from the most novice dancer who enjoys the positive support of their teacher to the most serious dancer who intends to pursue a professional dance career. Many of Babylon’s students have received College scholarships for Dance. The school caters to all ages and has beginner to advanced lessons in Creative Rhythm, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, HipHop and Modern technique. The Babylon School of Dance continues to grow and is the premier school of dance in the Bucks and Montgomery County area. Professional experience combined with a mother’s love- that’s what makes Babylon’s 300+ student body come back year after year.
